Dorehme uses a small number of cookies and browser-local storage to keep the platform working. This page explains exactly what is stored and why.

Essential cookies

These cookies are required for Dorehme to function. You cannot opt out of them without losing access to account features.

__sessionClerkMaintains your signed-in session. Expires when your session ends or you sign out.

__client_uatClerkClient-side user authentication token used by Clerk to verify session integrity.

__clerk_db_jwtClerkShort-lived token used during the sign-in flow. Deleted on completion.

Local storage (not cookies)

Some preferences are stored in your browser's local storage. This data never leaves your device and is not sent to our servers.

KeyPurpose

drill-settingsYour last-used Sight Reading Drill configuration — BPM, duration, key, hands, note types.

themeYour colour theme preference (light or dark mode).

drill-pb:*Your personal best scores from the Sight Reading Drill — one key per configuration (e.g. drill-pb:C:normal:treble), storing notes-per-minute and timing accuracy. Device-only.

No advertising or analytics cookies

Dorehme does not use advertising cookies, cross-site tracking, or third-party analytics tools. We do not run Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, or any similar service. The only cookies present are the essential Clerk authentication cookies listed above.

Managing cookies

You can clear cookies and local storage at any time through your browser settings. Clearing the Clerk session cookies will sign you out. Clearing local storage will reset your drill preferences and theme setting.

Because we only use essential cookies, there is no consent banner — nothing here is optional or used for tracking.
